Four Aces

This project started out as a heart doll of my own design inspired by the illustrations of Robert Ingpen in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Before I knew it, there were four aces looking back at me!

Each fabric doll is approximately 16" tall and has been lovingly handpainted with acrylics/stains and distressed for a old worn look. The faces are my handpainted design that has been printed on fabric and decoupaged in place. I handcarved two stamps; one is used to stamp on their tag which is attached with a rusty safety pen and the other is a scroll stamped on their back. Their hair is wool that has been needlefelted in place and given a page boy haircut. Their handpainted fabric hats are not removable. They can hang or sit. I don't know any thing about cards, but I think Four Aces would be a good thing!

For display only. Not intended as toys. Keep away from children and pets.
